Sam is one of the most driven, competitive, and passionate individuals you will meet. Combined with his ingrained integrity, enhanced and developed at the Merchant Marine Academy, there is no one you can trust more to get the job done and ALWAYS do what is in the best interest of the customer.

He has always been a top producer and held numerous leadership positions over the years. At one point, Sam ran the #1 retail branch in California, in addition to managing retail mortgage branches that closed in excess of $1.5 billion annually for a large mortgage bank.

Sam and his wife Mary are blessed with four wonderful children: Jack, Jane, Grace, and Belle. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and golf. He is a sought-after expert speaker in the mortgage industry as well as an avid real estate investor.

Sam’s role at Gaylord-Hansen:

Sam has a background as a college football player and a degree in mechanical systems engineering. This experience has been invaluable for the Gaylord-Hansen Team in setting up the appropriate systems and processes for an ever complex and changing mortgage industry.

Sam focuses on developing and maintaining systems, tools, and resources to serve our clients. This could mean fine-tuning processes to provide a better client experience or improving workflows to keep our organization healthy and thriving.
