Senior Vice President of HECM Lending Division

Senior Vice President of HECM Lending Division, Susan Pomfret has over 25 years in the mortgage industry. Susan became one of the first to originate a HECM in 1989 in RI as part of the FHA Pilot Program. Due to her extensive knowledge and expertise, she has become a familiar and respected face in the senior community. Under Susan's leadership, CrossCountry Mortgage has more than doubled their HECM loan origination in 2018.

Susan has served as a Former Board of Directors member for the Senior Agenda Coalition, was a member of the RI chapter for the Alzheimer's Association and Meals on Wheels, and co-founded of the RI chapter of the National Aging in Place Council. In addition, she has volunteered with numerous industry trade organizations and the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA).

Susan continued to display support for issues surrounding senior citizens by joining the State and Local Issues subcommittee and lobbying at the RI State House. She has participated in numerous rallies and testified on behalf of various senior bills and issues, including on Capitol Hill in Washington. Aside from her participation and volunteer hours, Susan is published in various local and national mortgage industry publications and was chosen to attend and cover the 2005 and 2015 invitation-only White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) in Boston, MA. Due to her passion for assisting seniors, she recently received her Certificate in Gerontology from Roger Williams University.
