Valentine Cake Pops – Yum!

Ingredients

1/2 baked cake – use your favorite recipe or box mix

Cream cheese frosting

12 oz. red candy melts

6-inch cookie sticks

Decorative sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Crumble up your delicious cake in a large bowl.
  2. Mix your cake and cream cheese together with a hand mixer, stand mixer, or spoon.
  3. Using the palm of your hand, divide your cake pop mix into 20 parts and round out each portion into a ball. Place your cake pops on a sheet pan or plate.
  4. Put your cake pops in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  5. Microwave the candy melts in a bowl for 30-second intervals until melted.
  6. Remove your cake pops from the freezer. To form them, place a cookie stick in the candy melt, then a cake pop. Add your cake pop to the candy melts and coat completely. Tap gently on the side of the bowl to remove any excess for a smooth finish.

Place each finished candy pop on parchment paper. Make sure to decorate with sprinkles before they dry!
