The 10 Communication Commandments

Here’s the secret sauce that's been a total game-changer for me—"The 10 Communication Commandments."

Our entire career is built on communication. The person who sells the most houses or closes the most loans has SUPERIOR communication.

The only way to truly take your career to the next level is to communicate in an absolutely spectacular manner, 100% of the time.

You must have better communication internally AND externally (with your team and your clients). I bet if you were to survey homebuyers and sellers and ask them what the most important characteristic is in a realtor, they'd say COMMUNICATION.

Your level of income is directly tied to your level of communication, yet many real estate professionals invest zero time leveling up in this area!

Let’s dive in!

Here are the TEN COMMUNICATION COMMANDMENTS:

  1. Forget the "dot dot dot" drama; we're all about clarity, being straight to the point, and leaving no room for confusion.
  2. Proofreading is our superpower! Before hitting that send button, we measure twice and cut once. Precision, my friends. Precision.
  3. No jargon zone! Our clients aren't industry wizards, so let's keep it real and cut out the acronyms and complicated language.
  4. Personal problems? Not our clients' concern. No excuses here—let's keep it professional and focused on delivering top-notch service.
  5. Powerless words? Not in our vocabulary. We're confident and committed, none of that wishy-washy "we should be fine" talk.
  6. Every call ends with a cherry on top: "Anything else I can do for you?" Cue the pause, listen, and double-check for good measure.
  7. Email game strong! No sitting ducks here. We acknowledge receipt because silence? Definitely not golden in our book.
  8. Warm vibes only! We're not curt; we're all about radiating gratitude and kindness. It's a vibe, people.
  9. Proactivity is key. Waiting for someone to ask about status? That's so last season. Let's stay ahead of the game.
  10. Time zones matter! Let's avoid the confusion—9 am CST it is. Because precision is our middle name.

And here's the golden nugget: The more we master communication, the more everyone in the game wins.

Ready to level up? Let's do this!
