Company partnered with several local organizations through donations and wish-granting
Cleveland, Ohio, January 4, 2024… CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM), the nation’s number three retail mortgage lender, gave back in a number of ways over the holidays. This time of year represents a season of giving, but the company says giving back is a core value they practice year-round.
“Helping people realize their dreams of homeownership is what we do every day as an organization,” said Laura Soave, chief brand officer. “But helping make wishes come true extends beyond home loans. Doing things to make our community a better place to live, work, and raise a family is part of our always-on CCM Cares efforts, especially around the holidays. And we’re always happy when we can spread a little joy along the way."
Granting Wishes through Make-A-Wish Foundation
Continuing its longstanding partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation, CCM helped make a holiday wish come true for a Northeast Ohio child with a critical illness. Among the company’s past support, CCM was recognized in 2019 by the Chris Greicius Award Society of Hope, the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s giving society, for the company’s lifetime contribution of more than $150,000.
Collecting Toys through Employee Toy Drive
Employees collected more than 300 toys through a month-long toy drive at the CCM headquarters in Cleveland. The toys were gifted to program participants of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland during the organization’s annual holiday gift shop.
CCM also surprised 150 students of Citizens Academy Southeast by fulfilling their holiday wish lists. Volunteers delivered the wrapped presents during a school-day event before the children left for their holiday break.
Creating Magic with Santa
Club participants from Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio and families from Citizens Academy Southeast enjoyed a morning at CCM’s headquarters having donuts and hot cocoa with Santa Claus. After taking photos and giving gifts, CCM employees and their families were invited to join the fun during the day-long holiday event.
The CCM Foundation focuses its charitable giving on organizations responding to the pressing needs of women, youth, Military Members, and CCM employees in crisis. Through the Foundation, the company is dedicated to making a difference in everyone community they serve.
