Shelley Malkin has been working with customers her entire career. Previously as a healthcare administrator Shelley consulted with federally funded community health centers to improve their operations, and at two major academic medical centers in Chicago she helped doctors transition from residency to private practice and provide the best services to their patients.
When Shelley bought her first home with her husband she became fascinated with the Chicago real estate market and launched her career helping customers with all aspects of financing their homes. She met her first mortgage customer by showing up uninvited at a realtor's open house on a holiday weekend and has been building relationships ever since. Now a 19-year veteran at PERL Mortgage in Chicago Shelley is still passionate about customer service. Shelley's clients appreciate her constant communication during the process and after closing, her responsiveness and knowledge, and her attention to detail and thorough explanations all of which make the experience straightforward and effortless for her clients. Long-term relationships are formed during the purchase or refinance transaction because to Shelley it is not simply a transaction. Shelley is truly your lender for life. She consistently ranks in the Mortgage Executive Magazine's top 1% of mortgage originators and is a licensed mortgage originator in Illinois and many other states.
Shelley graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a French minor and business specialization and a Master's of Health Administration degree. She also earned a Certificate in Journalism and a Certificate in Medical Writing and Editing from The University of Chicago.
