CrossCountry Mortgage Helps to Make Children’s Wishes Come True

CLEVELAND | Feb. 13, 2020 — CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC (CCM) donated $110,514 to the Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana division of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This marks the third year the company has participated in the annual giving campaign, donating $88,334 in 2019 and $67,410 in 2018.

CrossCountry Mortgage had a six-week campaign with a goal of $50,000 in employee donations. If the goal was met, the company would donate an additional $50,000. “I am very pleased that we exceeded our goal with employee contributions of more than $60,000. With the company contribution, CCM donated more than $110,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation,” said Ron Leonhardt, CEO.

“We’re blown away by the generosity of CrossCountry Mortgage and its employees,” said Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana Chief Advancement Officer and wish dad, John Carreon. “This year alone, CrossCountry Mortgage raised enough to make 11 life-changing wishes come true for northeast Ohio kids with critical illnesses. As a wish dad, I’ve seen firsthand the power of a wish and thanks to them, other children will get to experience the hope, strength, and joy a wish brings.”

“Helping people realize their wishes of home ownership is what we do every day; helping make wishes come true for 11 children with chronic illnesses is phenomenal. This is a testament to the caring nature of everyone on the CrossCountry Mortgage team,” Leonhardt concluded.

In 2019, CCM was inducted into the Chris Greicius Award Society of Hope, the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s prestigious giving society, named in honor of the very first wish recipient. Inductees are recognized for a company’s lifetime contribution of more than $150,000. To learn more about CrossCountry Mortgage and its products and services, visit www.crosscountrymortgage.com.
