Your Local CrossCountry Mortgage Loan Officer
Jason Faiella
I’ll be with you every step of the way
Hello, I’m Jason, and I’m excited to help you open the doors to your dream home! As a dedicated loan officer in Tampa, FL, I’m here to guide you through the homebuying process at America’s #1 Retail Mortgage Lender.
Five years ago, my wife, Tasha’s, book of business was growing rapidly. I decided to leave my previous career as a fixed operations director for car dealerships to join her. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to team up with my wife to help as many people as we do get into the home of their dreams.
Our team has a wealth of knowledge! From standards like conventional, VA and FHA to unique bank statement and no ratio loans, we do it all. We have experienced just about every situation and know the way to navigate to a successful closing.
When we are not working, my family and I enjoy traveling, including trips to the Rocky Mountains. Spending time with our kids is always priority #1 for us. We realize that time doesn’t stop, so we take advantage of every minute we can.

To determine how much home you can afford, you’ll want to assess your financial situation. This includes your income, expenses, and debt-to-income ratio, to ensure your mortgage fits comfortably within your budget. A general guideline is to spend no more than 28% of your gross monthly income on housing costs and 36% on total debt.
-
A good credit score typically starts at 620 for conventional loans, while FHA and VA loans may accept scores as low as 500, though higher scores offer better terms. A strong credit score can help you secure lower interest rates, saving you significant money over the life of a home loan.
-
A Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) is a revolving line of credit that allows homeowners to borrow against the equity in their home. HELOCs function like a credit card, giving access to funds up to a set limit, which can be used for expenses like renovations or debt consolidation. You only pay interest on the amount you borrow, and the repayment terms typically include a draw period followed by a repayment period.
